A few weeks ago, our colleague Lara Monica attended ISTH, the must-attend global congress for researchers in hemostasis. Beyond catching up with collaborators and clients from around the world, the meeting brought powerful scientific takeaways and proud moments.
A paradigm shift in hemophilia research
Landmark talks by Prof. Yesim Dargaud and Prof. Antonia Follenzi clearly highlighted that focusing solely on coagulation or circulating factor levels is no longer enough. Their work on extravascular FIX and FVIII outside of coagulation proves that broader physiological aspects must be evaluated when developing next-generation therapies.
Proud moments
Lara was honored to see her PhD research presented by Prof. Andreas Tiede at the Octapharma symposium — a proud moment knowing that solid preclinical data directly supports new product development.
Parisian spark
To top it off, the conference coincided with Bastille Day, celebrated with a magnificent drone and fireworks show at the Eiffel Tower.
